Negotiations have completed.  We will be holding a meeting Monday, March 15th at 5:30pm in the Assembly Room.  For those that can't make it or would like to participate via phone, we will have a conference phone available to call in on.  The phone number will be available for use at 5:25pm.  The number is 1-888-745-1720.

Following the meeting the Summary of Changes and Red line strike out of the Proposed Contract will be on our website in the left column under Documents.  For those Employee Representatives that are at the meeting, they will receive their packets for each of their members.  Those representatives not there the packets will go via intra-office mail on Tuesday, March 16th.

 The Salary Survey due to KBEA by November 1, 2009 was received on October 29, 2009. The negotiators have seen and disseminated this information. The survey is available here or on the left under documents.

Four recipients have been selected to receive the $500 KBEA scholarships this year, thanks to the hard work of the Scholarship Committee: Brandon McElrea (chair), Amy Falk, Glenda Kapp, and Dan Nelson. The recipients are:

• Sarah Ralston of Nikiski – attending UAA and majoring in Accounting.
• Jewell Briggs of Soldotna – attending Loyola University in Chicago and majoring in Biochemistry.
• Brittney Wyatt of Homer – attending Colorado State and majoring in Biochemistry.
• David Buckley of Homer – attending Carleton College and majoring in Liberal Arts.

Thank you to each person who stepped forward to have their name put in the hat for selection as a negotiator.  The Executive Council has completed the process. The following are the negotiators for the 2010-2013 contract.
